ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy provides advisory, capital raising and investment services to the renewable energy industry and the international development sector

This includes the solar PV, wind power, energy efficiency, primarily municipal LED street lighting projects, biomass, and small hydro sectors, as well as technology-oriented concerns. Within the project development community, ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy targets clients throughout the value chain including: investors, both tax and sponsor equity investors, construction and permanent debt financing sources, installers/EPCs, in addition to project developers at various stages along the development continuum, including post-commissioning. In the United States, the Firm has the capability to address all sectors including utility scale solar PV and wind power projects. ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy also provide services to developers and asset owners in the commercial, industrial, municipal, small-scale utility and distributed generation communities. In all cases, the Firm looks to develop long-term collaborative partnerships with its clients.

At this time, ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy is primarily focused on solar PV, municipal LED street lighting, small hydro and wind power projects and assets, and emerging technology companies. However, the Firm is also interested in being of assistance to parties focused on other existing or emerging renewable energy assets and technologies. ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy is primarily focused on markets within the Western Hemisphere including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The Firm is very active internationally across all sectors. ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy has, in the past, been active in Europe, most notably Italy and Germany. The Firm’s efforts in Europe have been predominately associated with the secondary market; providing M&A services and advice to owners of grid-connected operating assets. ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy has an active and extensive network of private equity and infrastructure funds, utilities, independent power producers (IPPs) and corporates. With respect to other international locales, in particular LAC, the Middle East, as well as South Africa, ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy has extensive relationships in the international development community that can be instrumental in supporting projects in developing markets around the world. The Firm is also well-positioned to provide advice and education regarding, and access to, the various U.S government agencies such as the EXIM Bank, Development Finance Corporation (formerly OPIC), USAID, and the Department of Commerce, among others, that are designed to facilitate the export of U.S. green energy technologies. Furthermore, ROMAN ARCH Clean Energy has well-developed relationships with various advisory firms and multilateral development banks, including the IDB, CAF, CDC, ADB, the World Bank Group and the IFC, that leverage renewable energy investments as an international development vehicle.

In ancient Rome, as legend has it, Roman engineers stood behind their work by standing beneath the archway they designed, just as the keystone was being dropped into place. If the arch collapsed, so did their business, so to speak. I've always liked and appreciated this story. The words ROMAN ARCH were chosen to be prominent in the name of our firm to exemplify this same commitment to excellence we strive for on behalf of our clients. We stand firmly behind the advice we impart to our clients with our success being inextricably tied to their success as well.
